537 kilo. That is the amount of waste that the average person in the Netherlands produces every year. We produce it largely without thinking. From plastic to glass, from diapers to paper: waste often says more about who we are than we might be willing to admit.

Professional explorers Melle Smets and Bram Esser will investigate our festival waste – over a ten-day period. They will clean up, separate and examine everything that can be regarded as waste. What is the secret behind the satay skewer? Why do stage builders use so much gaffer tape? After five days of hard work, they will present the results of their enquiries. In a mesmerizing performance full of humour, recycle creations, (missed) opportunities, rubbish friends and filth, they will rub your noses in it in a playful manner.
